Events

A comprehensive list of Furnal Equinox programming, as well as our 2012 schedule, will be released closer to the convention in late February or early March. In the meantime, we're happy to give you a sneak preview of some of the events that'll be on the schedule... and more are on the way!

We are currently accepting proposals for panels and events! If you have a panel or event that you would like to run at the convention, please fill out the form below, and we'll get in contact with you by e-mail to sort out the details. Make sure to let us know by February 15, 2012.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Join us as we open the convention on Friday and bring the event to a close on the Sunday. Our concom will share their tips for enjoying the event, introduce our special guests... then at closing ceremonies we'll recap the highlights of the convention and let you know what our plans are for next year!

Programming and Panels

Furnal Equinox is a great place to learn about the many aspects of furry, or share your knowledge with others! Our panels cover a wide variety of topics: attending your first convention, drawing artwork from introductory to an advanced level, fursuit building and performance, the history of furry, psychology, and other social gatherings!

Suggestions for programming and panels are welcome at any time. Simply e-mail us at the address above and we'd be happy to hear your suggestions!

Dealers Den

The Dealers Den will be open all three days of the convention. Meet our selection of dealers and take home something special for you, a friend, or a loved one! Art commissions, prints, fursuit accessories, and anything you can think of will be available. Check out our Dealers Den page for further details, especially if you're interested in being a dealer!

Artists Alley

For those wanting to share their works on a budget, tables in the Artists Alley (just outside the Dealers Den) will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the convention. Simply talk to the Dealers Den Coordinator and we'll set you up with a table at the soonest opportunity!

Charity Auction

Our charity auction will benefit the Mississauga Humane Society. Items will be displayed in the Dealers Den for bidding by silent auction, and any unbid or overbid items will go up for voice auction on Sunday afternoon! Come out and support your four-legged furry friends. If you have any items you would like to donate to the auction, please contact us at charity@furnalequinox.com.

Fursuit Parade and Photography

Debuting your new fursuit at Furnal Equinox or showing off an old favourite? Then join in the Fursuit Parade on Saturday afternoon! We're currently planning on doing photography before the parade starts, so start mugging in the mirror for your individual or group shots... and make sure to arrive early, because there are plenty of suiters who are going to want to show off!

Furry Games

Our Furry Games will also be taking place on Saturday with plenty of wacky events, ceremonies, and friendly competition among our teams of fursuiters. Even if you're not a suiter, make sure to come out and watch the fuzzy competitors duelling against one another. And don't forget to bring your camera to photograph our potential gold medallists!

Wolf's Den (Hospitality Suite)

Our Sponsor-level attendees will have access to the Wolf's Den throughout the convention! This suite is tucked away from convention space on the 11th floor for when you're looking to relax and mingle with your friends in a quiet, more intimate setting. Various snacks and soft drinks will be available throughout the con in the Den.

Video Games

Come to our video game room and compete on our consoles... stamp your feet, play like a rock star and beat the snot out of your opponent as you participate in gaming tournaments throughout the convention! Games like DDR, Street Fighter, and Killer Instinct will be available, as well as a Rock Band exhibition stage... and hopefully we'll see the return of the pinball machines, too! Will you be crowned champion?

Dances

Every night of the convention, the lights go down, the volume comes up and the beat starts thumping for hours of high-energy dancing. We have music and DJs for every taste in music — and everyone who comes out to the dance gets glowsticks and bracelets, so make sure to show up and put them to good use as you show us your best moves!

DJs interested in playing at the dances can contact Raverfox at dance@furnalequinox.com with your DJ name and the genre of music you want to spin! Demos must be submitted before February 1, 2012.

Zoo

Looking for something to do in the downtime between events? Come to the Zoo in the International foyer and mingle with other members and perhaps even enjoy a casual game or two. There's always something to do!
